Jewish Community Services ensures it keeps abreast of most services in South Australia as well as the local and interstate Jewish organisations.  If we are unable to help you, we can refer you or assist you through the process with the appropriate organisation. We provide the following services –

Those Seeking Information

If you require any information such as ‘where to purchase Matzo’ or ‘where do I get help for my frail-aged father’, or ‘what Jewish social events are available’ we will endeavour to provide you with the answers or point you in the direction to find the answers.

Those Seeking A Quiet Spot

Jewish Community Services has moved to lovely new premises. There is a very welcoming library area where you are welcome to have a cup of coffee and relax.

For Immigrants

The Jewish community of Adelaide welcomes immigrants from a variety of countries.  The most recent arrivals have been from Israel and Russia.  Jewish Community Services supports immigrants through the following -

There are times in one’s life when financial help can open a window of opportunities.  Jewish Community Services endeavours to provide small once off financial support by accessing community funds, seeking support from other organisations in South Australia or Jewish organisations interstate.

Those with a disability and/or are frail-aged and/or Holocaust survivors

Jewish Community Services Inc is funded by the State and Federal Governments, through the Home and Community Care Program (HACC).  The HACC Program provides services such as domestic assistance, personal care as well as professional allied health care and nursing services, in order to support older Australians, younger people with a disability and their carers to be more independent at home and in the community and to reduce the potential or inappropriate need for admission to residential care.  JSC prides itself on providing culturally appropriate services.  We endeavour to meet the specific needs of Jewish clients.  This includes help with accessing restitution funds.   Recipients of this HACC program make a financial contribution to the cost of their care.

Some of the services funded through the HACC Program include:
